BULA

We’ d like to introduce ourselves to you. Our names are Will and Alex and we own and operate Tokoriki Diving, an award winning PADI 5 Star Dive Centre based at Tokoriki Island Resort.

We arrived in Fiji in 1998, having spent the previous 5 years living in Egypt. Somewhere tropical after living in the desert was a nice change.

None of our adventure was planned, we simply got the opportunity to work in Fiji, and have never looked back!

We’ ve spent the last two decades pioneering the diving around Tokoriki Island: exploring the reefs, getting to know the aquatic life, and understanding the tides, currents and seas. From the countless hours spent observing one small area of underwater Fiji has come a strong sense of ‘guardianship’ of the reef, a passion we have imbued in the rest of our team.

In 2000 we set up the Tokoriki Giant Clam Regeneration Program in partnership with the Fiji Ministry of Fisheries. Through trial and perserverance, we have ended up with the largest collection of mature tridacna gigas clams in Fiji! This is a critically endangered species of giant clam, with our largest weighing approximately 100 kg/ 220 lb, and measuring over 1 metre/ 3 ft in length.

We are so lucky that through twenty years we have never lost our enthusiasm, always kept learning and investing. And the reason we are able to live on this beautiful island and dive in these beautiful seas is you...

We look forward to diving with you soon!

Happy, Safe Diving

Save Such a fun PADI Instructor.  He loves to 'high five'.  We've known Save since he was a young boy.  His father Koli, worked alongside us 20 years ago as a  PADI Divemaster.  We got to know Save back in the early 2000's when we trained him up as a PADI Rescue Diver.  Unfortunately we could not provide a job for him at the time, but are delighted that he is part of our family  now.  Save has the accolade as being Yanuya Island's first PADI Instructor.    PADI Instructor OWSI # 489896 Resticted Master/Engineer Class 6 Boat Captain: License # 1803 First Responder (First Aid/CPR): HFTA 10589 Certified Scuba Cylinder Fill Station Operator

Kale Know Kale, know his laugh!  Kale is always goofing around.  He is perhaps Tokoriki Diving's most 'all round' guy.  Kale has done several thousand dives and is an accomplished PADI Divemaster.  He loves to learn, and has an  impressive knowledge of fish, corals and invertebrates.  Kale's family are Yanuya Island fishermen and he too has the genes.  Along side Jo and Sam, Kale captains many of the fishing trips as well as takes the position of  'Guide' on our excursions. Beautiful Diving, Wonderful People - Will and Alex are an English couple who run a world class dive centre that combines local knowledge, expertise, beautiful dive sites and a real passion for conservation. They have been at Tokoriki for many years, so they know everything about where, when and how to get the most from diving in the area...

Best Diving Ever!...Tokoriki Diving is a PADI 5 Star centre and it shows - everything is safe, proper procedures followed, and diver to dive professional ratio is very good...I can’t sing their praises enough, they are so passionate about the dive experience and it shows in everything they do - we loved our dives with the Tokoriki Diving team and I would recommend them to anyone considering diving in Fiji.
— Beth and Gary, USA
Having not dived since obtaining my Advanced certification in 2009 and having an aversion to returning, I had no intention of diving...However when we met and and chatted to the staff at Tokoriki Diving, I decided to try again with no pressure or expectations to succeed. After a comforable complimentary pool refresher, we ventured out and I loved it. Fantastic staff, calm, informative and attentive to my initial anxiety. Would recommend to all. Exceptional. Thank you for giving me back my scuba joy.”
— Bella K, Dublin
I feel extremely lucky to have completed the open water dives for my PADI certification with Tokoriki Diving - not only because of being in beautiful Fiji, but also because of this amazing dive shop. From start to finish, the process was professional perfection.
— Janine W, USA
Tokoriki Diving are true to their ‘no touch’ policy on the reefs for themselves and their guests, and are very respectful of their environment. They don’t disturb wildlife, or bend the rules to lift a rock or pick up little critters for tourists...We really appreciated this and it made our experience much more enjoyable.
