Hey look @audreygriffen there's a shark behind you! We had the pleasure of diving with return guests Audrey and @osher_gunsberg as well as @rubenguitars and @eleventhflower a couple of weeks back. Tokoriki Diving has long been an advocate for environmental causes. For many years we have been a PADI Project AWARE partner. Our dive shop is one of over 400 other partners worldwide that collectively contribute to almost 17% of Project AWARE's annual revenue, a vital contributor to advancing their vision for a return to a clean, healthy ocean. To date, 100% AWARE partner donations have helped to: * Remove and report over 1 million pieces of trash. * Protect 11 shark and ray species under Convention on Intl' Trade of Endangered Species. * Create the most comprehensive underwater dataset of marine debris in the world. * Report and help over 5,597 entangled or dead marine animals. * Support 1,607 Dive Against Debris Instructors to educate over 2,449 students. * Release the world's first-ever best-practice guide for responsible shark and ray tourism. * Secure stronger EU finning bans for vulnerable shark species. * Support 1,233 Shark and Ray Instructors to educate over 2,732 students.

Who said blues and greens should not be seen? 20 years ago this month Will and I arrived on this piece of paradise we call home. We have snorkelled and dived on pretty much every reef in the area and camped on many of the uninhabited islands that surround Tokoriki Island Resort. Meet Epeli, pictured here with his big brother Sam. We were in need of another team member and decided on trying out a school leaver. He is a lovely guy and learning fast! It’ll be quite some time before he leads an excursion or drives a boat, but he is a super hard worker and shows initiative. 🙌 @tokorikidiving @tokorikidiving

REEF - magnificent in every regard. A trip to @tokoriki_island_resort is not complete without exploring this stunning ecosystem right on our doorstep. Yesterday in this very spot we saw an Eagle Ray, Turtles and a White Tip Reef Shark on @tokorikidiving beginner's PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience...Not a bad introduction to scuba! Women and Man in Black! We've been as busy as Convict Surgeon fish swarming on a reef top! October holidays always bring a wave of guests wanting to do PADI Courses. With every certificiation completed @tokorikidiving donates AUD$10 to PADI Project AWARE. Congratulations to Louisdon, Lillian, Jacob, Fiona and Hyeim. It was a pleasure teaching you all. The satisfaction of finishing a PADI Open Water Diver Course and becoming a certified diver, speaks for itself in this photo of PADI Instructors Save and Alex, and newly certified divers Fiona and Hyeim!

Just had to share this post from @fijiislandtours - "Located on tiny Yanuya Island Fiji (approx 44 km North West of Nadi), Namamanuca Primary School comprises only 175 students. Our friends @tokoriki_island_resort built a new computer room for the students and it was with enormous pride tht we (@fijiislandtours) stocked it with brand new computers loaded with software. We also donated a laptop to the 2017 dux of the school, Talica. The School's students live in Yanuya Village where their families grow crops, or work at the nearby island resorts. Twice weekly, guests of Tokoriki Island Resort are invited to take the short 15 minute boat ride to visit the school and local beach market. It's worth the trip and the school is always appreciative of any school supplies guests are kind enough to donate. If you would like to join us and support the remote island schools dotted throughout the Fiji Islands, please contact @fijiislandtours and we'll put you in touch with the appropriate people."
