- Price does not include: Divemaster fees to PADI Asia Pacific, Divemaster insurance fees to PADI Asia Pacific, any course books aside from Divemaster Manual candidate wishes to buy.
The PADI Divemaster Course is a professional level dive course. It is ideal for:
- Those wishing to dive independently without a professional guiding them.
- Technical divers (mixed gases, decompression diving and diving in extreme locations).
- Anyone wishing to pursue a career in Scuba Diving.
The PADI Divemaster course expands the problem solving skills developed by the PADI Rescue Diver program, and extends it from accident management and prevention scenarios to supervisory situations with student divers and certified divers.
Divemaster problem solving may include more than safety related issues, and include handling customer service, business and operational challenges. The course also addresses attitudes and judgement.
Candidates are expected to have exemplary dive skills before signing up for a Divemaster Course. Only experienced, confident divers need apply.
Allow at least two weeks to complete the PADI Divemaster Course.
Prerequisite Certifications
- Student must be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
- Student must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
- Student must be qualified to PADI Rescue Diver level or have qualifying certification from another training organization.
- Must have proof of at least 60 logged dives, by the time the Divemaster course has finished, documenting experience in deep, underwater navigation and night diving.
- Student must have successfully completed a sanctioned course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic first aid within the past two years. Proof of this must be provided.
- Student must have a recent medical check up and bring proof of this with them.
Terms and Conditions
- The booking of the Divemaster Course is essential.
- Candidates must be medically fit to Scuba dive as according to the PADI Medical Form.
- Tokoriki Island Resort reserves the right to alter all dive pricing without notice.
- Must allow 18 hours after diving before flying.
